In a concerning development, four workers were severely injured in a fire accident at Synergies Active Ingredients, located in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City, Parwada, Anakapalli district, on August 23, 2024. This incident, occurring just days after a devastating accident at Escientia Advanced Sciences Private Limited, underscores an alarming pattern of safety failures in the pharmaceutical industry. The workers, who are reported to be from Jharkhand, were immediately transported to a private hospital in Vizag for treatment. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed Home Minister V. Anitha to urgently visit the site and ensure that the injured receive appropriate medical care. This is the second fire accident in less than 48 hours, raising serious concerns about the industry's safety protocols and emergency response measures.

This latest incident follows a tragic fire at Escientia Advanced Sciences on August 21, where 17 people lost their lives and 36 others were injured.
